Sodium silicate textured moon jar with black underglaze. It came out a lot darker than I expected! Especially when compared to what it looked like before the high fire here. I assumed the high points of the textured area would show the bare red stoneware surface, while the black underglaze would fill and accentuate the valleys. Guess I can dilute the underglaze if I want more of the stoneware to show through, but I'm liking this dark, bold look. Reminiscent of a raku fired piece, except it's been through cone 10.
