wheel-thrown moon jar with sodium silicate crack texture and black underglaze, awaiting high fire

The black underglaze took forever to wipe off. Not sure I want to do this again in the future without figuring out a way to not take as long. Hopefully the crack pattern maintains contrast against the natural red stoneware body. I'm worried the speckling of the body will hide the texture.
